Orange Banana Green Smoothie

This green smoothie is full with vitamins and mineral to keep you going throughout the morning.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup spinach  
  • 1 frozen ripe banana,   sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated 
  • 1 tbsp sea moss jell (irish moss) or chia seeds, soaked
  • 1 tbsp fresh turmeric root, grated
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla,   alcohol-free
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder 
  • 1 cup homemade almond milk 
  • 1/2 cup orange juice 
  • 1 tsp agave nectar or honey (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a blender jar, place all ingredients in the same order as above. Puree until smooth.

  2. Add sea moss jell, if using and blend for a few seconds.

  3. Pour in a tall glass. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

You can substitute some of these ingredients. For example, instead of spinach, I used kale. calaloo leaves can also be used. You can also use ground flax seeds instead of chia seeds.

Homemade almond milk is creamy and delicious. You will never buy another box of almond milk. Make your own milk and juice your orange.
